I don't know how closely the writers attempted to stay to Austen's work, but one of the main issues to the film is the overabundance of characters. For the most part, it's an enjoyable film. In fact, I usually don't care for them much at all, but with rave reviews and a heavier reliance on comedy than romance, I decided to give Love & Friendship a shot. I don't consider myself the avid Jane Austen reader or fan of the media adaptations. While Love & Friendship certainly isn't the thinker or entertainer that most of the films released in May, it has its fair share of laughs and uses its gorgeous locales and famous source material to its benefit as much as it can. it also show that love is understanding,giving and its also possible to love someone without becoming their girl or boyfriend.There's something very satisfying about a period piece that actually feels like a film that lives in another time and place. The movie also show that love has no gender its just that its really difficult for both male that love each other to overcome the culture and the judgement of some people specially if it comes from your own parents. Every action or decision children takes it always affect the parents same goes with the decisions or actions parents did affect their children.
The movie does not really revolves in Mew and Tongs love it is actually more on their family. But because I love BL genre so eventually I decided to watch it and I did not regret doing so.

I do watch BL series and movies but I did not find the movie interesting at first because of Mario Maurer, not because I don't like him but because he is quite famous for his CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE movie and I totally ship him with Bifern so I find it odd to watch it.

TL DR: A great story about love, loss, family, love rediscovered, and love sacrificed. You would be missing out on a good story. Don't pass this one up because of the ending. OVERALL: This movie has many warm and fuzzy spots as well as some soul-crushing sad spots, but I believe it was worth the ride. REWATCH VALUE: I could not watch this a second time without having a friend with me. The love song Mew sings was translated (yay!) and the lyrics melt the heart. MUSIC: Since one is a musician, this show had some real good songs. That's life.ĪCTING/CAST: The boys were young and the older versions still young, but I felt they did a good job. While it is not a tragic in the sense of someone dying, but a realistic choice that one of the guys had to make, to put his family before himself. This story is so great but you probably will not like the ending. It's about broken families of two boys who became friends but moved away and met again later in life and rediscover their feelings towards each other. STORY: This story isn't about BL, really. Rewatch Value 9.0 Well, the description for this says it all so I won't repeat it. June is loved by Tong's family, but she begins to feel whether she does right. Everything in Tong's family seems to become better since June's arrival. June accepts the offer and becomes a part of Tong's family. Tong comes up with a plan for his mother to hire June for being his sister, hoping to cure his father from alcoholism. Later, Mew introduces Tong to June, a girl who looks alike Tong's lost sister. Mew is facing hard time trying to compose love songs after his grandma died. While Mew is a quiet guy who is obsessed by music, and secretly loved by Ying, a girl next door. Tong just discovers that pretty girlfriend is not the answer for something in his life. Tong is a popular and handsome boy who is bored with his pretty girlfriend like Donut. The story begins when old friends Tong and Mew meet by chance at Siam, a well-known place that teenagers in Bangkok hanging out. Love of Siam shows the relationship between a weak family, a lonely girl, teenagers who start to know the meaning of love and friendship that will remain in the memory forever.
